PianOrquestra
10 hands and a piano prepared. Who would have thought that a concept that had, for example, John Cage, one of his great creators-that of intervening on the piano's sound mechanics by adding strange objects to him-could have such a different life? This is the proposal of the Brazilians of PianOrquestra, singular group that takes the piano as an almost infinite universe of possibilities. O Globo named its show one of the best of the year and the historic João Bosco, who made a tour dedicated to Pixinguinha with PianOrquestra, described them as "a surprise" and classified the show as "wonderful". The group, which guarantees to produce, "Brazilian instrumental music like no one has ever seen or heard" includes the well-known pianist Claudio Dauelsberg, who plays alongside the pianists Mariana Spoladore, Priscila Azevedo and Anne Amberget as well as percussionist Masako Tanaka. In this format, PianOrchestra has stepped on the most prestigious stages in the world, always drawing the most effusive applause and praise.
In Portugal, PianOrchestra invites Luisa Sobral with them to take the stage in a show that promises many strong emotions and some surprises. The award winning singer and guitarist will have the opportunity to revisit some cherished moments of her repertoire with an unprecedented, surprising and even fun accompaniment.
PianOrchestra will appear on the CCB stage on November 6 and two days later will perform in Coimbra at the Convento de São Francisco, on November 12 will be the turn of Casa da Música to receive this extraordinary concert.
