Mark Guiliana is an American drummer and songwriter, born in New Jersey in 1980. A renowned instrumentalist, whether in jazz, rock or electronic, Guiliana has collaborated, recorded and played with Avishai Cohen, Brad Mehldau, David Bowie or Matisyahu , among others.
He is one of the most influential drummers of his generation and is at the forefront of a new approach to drumming, mixing acoustic virtuosity with electronic beats.
His mastery and accuracy have earned him an invitation to be part of David Bowie's last and acclaimed album "Blackstar". His conceptual approach can also be witnessed in the Mehliana electric duo, which he maintained with Brad Mehldau.
