Cascais Rockfest 2020

On January 24th and 25th 2020, the Salão Preto & Prata at Casino Estoril, hosts the third edition of Cascais Rock Fest. After the tremendous success of the previous editions, with sold out shows and names like D-A-D, Stage Dolls, Fischer-Z and Gun, among others, Casino Estoril will again host two electrifying nights of pure rock, with the mythical bands The Stranglers, Lita Ford, Cutting Crew , Dare, Crazy Lixx and Hot Stuff.
On Friday, January 24th, North American rock goddess Lita Ford will finally make her debut in Portugal at Cascais Rock Fest, with a concert that promises to be memorable, bringing us hits like “Kiss Me Deadly”, “Shot Of Poison” or the famous ballad recorded as a duet with Ozzy Osbourne “Close My Eyes Forever”.
Still on the 24th, we will see the premier of Swedish Glam/Hard Rock stars Crazy Lixx, one of the most requested names for the 2020 edition of the festival, in what will surely be a blasting perfomance based on the crytically aclaimmed “Forever Wild” album, that includes the singles “Silent Thunder” and “Break Out”.
The Brazilian/Portuguese band Hot Stuff, will celebrate their 25 years reuniting for an exclusive show, opening the first day of the event. It will be a unique opportunity to see the band perform its greatest hits, such as “Hot Stuff”.
Saturday, January 25ht 2020, is time for one of England’s dearest bands to the Portuguese audience, The Stranglers, to return to Portugal. Formed in 1974, they are certainly one of the most successful bands from the New Wave/Punk scene in 70’s/80’s that came out of the U.K. Hard to establish to any particular musical genre, The Stranglers based their sound on the bass lines of Jean-Jaques Burnel and the synths of David Greenfield, and will delight us with their greatest hits, such as “Always The Sun”, “Golden Brown” or “La Folie”.
Still on the second day of the festival, the English band Cutting Crew, that recorded some of the most emblematic 80’s tracks such as “I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight” or “I’ve Been In Love Before”, will also visit the Casino.
Dare, lead by Thin Lizzy’s Darren Wharton, and one of the maximum exponents of the so-called AOR/Melodic Rock scene, will open the night with their greatest hits, such as “Abandon” or “Into The Fire”, completing the bill of the third edition of Cascais Rock Fest, which promises to be once again memorable, a Festival that has positioned itself as a reference in the panorama for the thousands of fans of Rock and Hard Rock that exist in Portugal and Europe since its first edition.
